THE FORGE IS LIT
Forge Pioneer's journey began with a spark of passion for martial arts and a vision for a vibrant community.
Born from the embers of Forge: Martial Fitness, a hub for diverse disciplines like Muay Thai, Boxing, BJJ, and Karate, Forge Pioneer, nestled on Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong, was initially envisioned as a nexus for all things combat. Fueled by the enthusiasm of young entrepreneurs, fitness enthusiasts, and passionate sword lovers, it was a melting pot of disciplines, a place where ancient swordsmanship met modern athleticism.

Officially founded on November 15th, 2019, Forge Pioneer opened its doors in early 2020 with a soft launch, eager to share the thrill of HEMA with the community. However, the unexpected challenges of the 2020 pandemic forced a temporary closure, threatening to extinguish the flame.

Inspired by the work of Blood & Iron Martial Arts, the founders embarked on a new chapter. Through online lessons and dedicated training, they earned their certifications, deepening their knowledge and enhancing the quality of their instruction.

Emerging from the pandemic with renewed focus, Forge Pioneer rekindled its fire, specializing in the captivating world of weapon arts. Today, the club stands as a testament to perseverance, passion, and the enduring allure of the blade. It's a place where individuals of all backgrounds can come together to forge their skills, their confidence, and a vibrant community of sword enthusiasts.

RG Cabredo
One of the founders of Forge Pioneer, who also happens to be its resident bookworm and is a patron of all things sword-related.

Being an accomplished fencer in his own right, with various tournaments under his belt, RG is one of the instructors certified by Blood & Iron's Instructor Certification Program.
Now he offers his wisdom to his pupils, sharing all he's learned from his journey.
Rafael Ortiz
A perpetual student of sword combat and a co-founder of Forge Pioneer, Rafael dedicates himself to bringing together and training like-minded martial artists.
He began fencing at an early age and went on to become member of his college varsity team, win a tournament, and compete in the Asia Youth Championship.
Currently focused on HEMA, he has earned his instructorship from Blood and Iron, and is pursuing his dream and passion of swordfighting by serving as one Forge Pioneer's instructors.
Vier Tajonera
A South East Asian Games gold medalist in fencing, Vier is an accomplished swordsman, trainer, and recognized instructor.
His passion for the sport is reflected not only by his competition record, but also by his commitment to training the next generation of duelists.
Armed with his certification from Blood & Iron, he teaches future scores of HEMA fighters for success in both the competitive arena and their personal growth as accomplished swordsmen.
J Cruz
Managing Director and Fight Captain of Forge Pioneer, Jay brings a unique blend of leadership, communication, and craftsmanship to the team.
As a professional speech coach and leather hobbyist, he expertly guides students in honing their skills both on and off the battlefield.
To further refine his teaching abilities, Jay is set to complete his Blood & Iron's Instructorship Course to empower others in the art of historical sword combat.
